The HVAC technicians seemed like they had nothing to do
The HVAC technicians seemed like they had nothing to do, and I could not believe that the HVAC technicians were actually getting paid for that.
That is why I do not like hiring HVAC technicians that work for an HVAC union.
Now, I have nothing against unions. I think that unions can be helpful to make sure that HVAC technicians and other types of workers get paid fairly and do not get overworked. However, I have noticed that some union workers can take advantage of that, and it causes them to grow lazy. It was obvious that the HVAC technicians that were working for this HVAC company were doing that. The HVAC technicians literally were not doing anything. They were standing around watching one HVAC technician work on the furnace. Apparently, these HVAC technicians all had individual jobs that they were in charge of doing. Unfortunately, only one of the HVAC technicians had a job that lasted a while. The HVAC technicians were getting paid for one job, and now, the HVAC technicians were getting paid to stand around doing nothing. You could not fire these HVAC technicians or do anything about it. If you did fire a union-affiliated HVAC technician, you could get a ton of legal trouble. It was really annoying, but I eventually just decided to stop hiring those kinds of HVAC technicians. I would rather have an HVAC technician that worked hard for the money that he was earning. I like HVAC technicians that have a good work ethic. I do not like lazy HVAC technicians.
