My neighbors are always bragging about something
I have to be completely honest, my neighbors absolutely drive me nuts.
It seems like whenever I see them, they are trying to show off something new.
My wife said she thought the guy inherited his parents’ money or something like that. They made all these upgrades to their home including a fancy upgrade to their HVAC system. When they had the new HVAC installed, they invited us over for dinner. It seems nice and all and very neighborly, but it wasn’t about being a good neighbor. It was about rubbing my face in their new stuff! They had radiant heated floors which was very nice, but they couldn’t stop talking about it and how we would be better off with radiant heated floors. They bragged about how much money they were saving on the energy bills and how they were able to even save more with their new fancy smart thermostat. I actually have a smart thermostat and I already know how it saves money on the energy bills. Given, my smart thermostat wasn’t nearly as fancy as theirs. They had voice control so they could just say what temperature they wanted it to be and the smart thermostat would adjust the temperature control settings. They even told me to give it a try and I told the thermostat to go to 70 degrees. The thermostat ignored me though. After the 3rd try, the guy then laughed with his wife and said it was set to only listen to their voices. Go figure… I never want to go to their house again!
