No need for modern technology

That adorable little chalet on the hill just north of town was my dream house, and no, it was not big, nor was it costly, in fact it was downright rustic.

Some might even call it primitive, but perhaps that is exactly what appealed to myself and others so much about the location.

It was constructed by hand some twenty years ago, by a retiree who break all the logs himself and built it every square inch all on his own. The main idea was pretty appealing to me, but what I really enjoyed was the craftsmanship of the chalet itself… Due to its age, locationment, and overall simplicity it had no Heating as well as A/C system, as well as only the most rudimentary of HVAC duct installed inside. The old man was not overly distraught with cooling the location down over the summers, which are usually short as well as mild around here, but he did give a five star heating source for the location, with an outdated but strong gas furnace that could burn wood or switch over to run on natural gas. The gas furnace was located right in the middle of the house, as well as heated the entire location up equally, if weakly. When you rest right next to the gas furnace it is almost too hot, but in the kitchen on either side of the chalet it is much colder. It is not a big deal, as well as definitely nothing that can’t be solved in the long term with a couple of cheap section gas furnaces in the corners. I have no desire to make any major changes to the location, nor to add air conditioning, and keep it just as it is.
