No point in changing thermostat, warmth won’t last

No point in changing thermostat, warmth won’t last

Every single year I feel like I fall for the same practical joke.

  • I don’t know when I am going to catch on and finally circumvent all the disappointment that I bring on myself.

However, for the past 30 years or so I have had the same unwise enthusiasm every single spring when we get a few days of warm air. After a long, difficult winter there will inevitably be a few weeks when the outdoor air temperature becomes unseasonably warm. Out of nowhere, the outdoor climate will take a turn for the better. The fresh, warm air that comes blowing through the region immediately makes me think that a solid spring is on its way. Surely, our cold days are over and I can look forward to Sunshine and outdoor comfort. That’s right about when I power down the forced air furnace and call my heating, cooling, and ventilation technician for a professional heating, cooling, and ventilation inspection on the air conditioning unit. I’m trying to be proactive for the impending air temperature change, but inevitably I wind up immensely letdown. Within a week, the air temperatures will return to the cold and bitter characteristics of winter. Meanwhile, I will be switching back to my forced air furnace on my central heating, cooling, and ventilation system. Then, I have to drag out all of my winter clothing again as I called my heating and cooling technician to make another HVAC appointment – this time, for the forced air furnace which is being drafted back into action. Some year, I will learn.
