We never set the smart thermostat to learn mode
Sporadically I assume that my fiance and I are incapable of taking care of ourselves.
- Don’t get me wrong, we do a nice job holding full-time positions and navigating our public lives like real, functional adults.
However, a lot of things that take locale behind closed doors are actually ridiculous. My buddy and I can be so spacey and stupid at times, it hurts to even confess some of our mistakes. Most recently, we decided that we were going to stop paying so much cash for our high energy costs by changing our thermostat. Not only were the thermostat settings way too demanding for our severely old heating, cooling, and air quality control system, however the thermostat itself could use an upgrade. My buddy and I decided to have a professional heating, cooling, and ventilation serviceman install a brand-new smart air temperature control unit in our dwelling so that the temperature control device could be more easily regulated with energy-efficient settings that we did not have to worry about. Lord knows, we do not need more heating and cooling concerns to worry about – we’re trying to simplify our indoor air quality management. After the heating, cooling, and air quality control serviceman installed our brand-new temperature control unit we were absolutely happy to see a change on our upcoming energy bill. Unfortunately, the change went in the wrong direction and our energy bill actually increased, and just as I was about to call the local heating and cooling service shop to complain about our smart thermostat, my fiance realized that we never actually set the thermostat to “learn” mode. It was never programmed at all.
