Over the weekend, I built a frog habitat

Over the weekend, I built a frog habitat for my son.

He has been asking my wife and me to get him a frog for the past two years, but up until now, we have both felt like he was just too young for it.

Frogs are one of the hardest creatures to keep alive in captivity. At least that’s what I have read about them in all of my research. My son says that some frogs aren’t hard to keep alive, but of course the kind that he wanted definitely is. It’s because it’s some kind of a rainforest tree frog or something. I don’t understand why he couldn’t just catch a frog outside in our yard and make it his pet instead. He has to make everything so complicated. Anyway, he finally got the frog of his dreams and I had to help him set up a frog habitat. I didn’t know that this frog was going to need so many specialty items, but it has to be on a very strict heating and cooling schedule. He also has to have a special thermostat attached to his tank so that the temperature will not get too hot or too cold. We had to get him two separate heating rocks, too. Now my son is busy trying to figure out the best decor for the frog tank. I can’t believe that we are spending so much money on this tiny little frog. I guess it’s a good thing that my son is so invested in it, though. Hopefully he will take good care of it and it will live for a really long time.
