A/C trouble in the office
Last week, it was so hot in my office building that I could barely stand it.
I have a job in a large office building downtown, and you would think that the people who own it make enough money from all of the people who rent out the space to be able to fix a little bit of an air conditioner problem.
There are plenty of different offices all over this building, but in every single area that I passed through this week, there has been no air conditioning whatsoever. Even the lobby has HVAC complications it would seem. Just before the week started, some sort of problem with the air conditioner compounded itself to include the entire building. Of course, it had to happen at the exact same time that a heat wave took over the city. It has been in the 90s all week. The heat wave was both inside and outside the office building at that point. Honestly, I had a very difficult time trying to push myself to go to work during this horrible week. The air quality and the heat and humidity was so bad! At one point, I almost started crying because of how hot it was. The air conditioner simply did not work anywhere in the building and I had no idea why. Eventually, we saw evidence that a commercial heating and air conditioning company was indeed working on the problem. Later however, we discovered that they had a need for parts that were taking a long time to ship. It has been a terrible week to be sure
