My grandma had to do some repairs before she could sell her house

My grandma decided to call up the local heating and cooling company to have them come and install a new high efficiency furnace and air conditioning system for her.

My grandma was looking to sell her big house and downsize. She wanted to move into a retirement village close to where we live and so she put her house up for sale with a realtor that we know. However, the realtor told her that she was going to have to do some upgrades before she would be able to get her asking price that she really wanted. My grandma was a little bit annoyed by this because she didn’t want to have to do very much work on the house. Then the realtor told her that since she had nice hardwood floors, the only thing she really needed to do was paint and upgrade the heating and cooling system. The furnace that was in my grandma’s house was really old because she just never felt like she needed to update it. She always said that it was enough for her because she always kept a little electric space heater right next to her favorite chair in the living room anyway. But since she wanted to move out, the realtor knew that the heating and cooling system was something that was going to be a major issue with buyers. Then she put the house on the market. She ended up getting a full price offer literally within a week of the date that she listed it. The realtor says that it’s all because of the newly installed heating and cooling system.
