Heat pump takes care of humidity balance inside

It’s not going to be long now.

With the end of February insight, my mind is shifting gears.

Soon, it will be time to deal with the heat and humidity that this region is famous for. Look, I’d never want to live anywhere else but right here. Still, that comes with a summer that needs plenty of air conditioning. When we first moved down here, I wasn’t sure that I’d be able to handle the heat in the summer. In fact, I got to the point where I was just dreading the heat. I had to finally just get real about what it takes to not just spend all summer inside the central air conditioning. Like I said, when we first moved down here, I couldn’t deal with the heat. I went from the commercial HVAC of the office to the air conditioning of my house. Any time outside just felt miserable from June through September. Well, that’s 25 percent of my life and I wasn’t willing to just hide out for 25 percent of my life. So I got to talking to natives of the area and they all said that getting acclimated to the heat in the spring is key. So last spring, I didn’t reach for the air conditioning right away. Instead, I got accustomed to being outside and inside with temperatures in the 80’s. But of course, I’m so thankful to have air conditioning in my home when it’s constantly near the century mark all summer. Plus, the heat pump balances the humidity levels so I don’t have to deal with a bunch of mold and mildew in my home.
