The doctor’s office is too cold

The other day when I went into the doctor’s office for an appointment for blood work, the waiting room was uncharacteristically cold.

I was in a rush to hurry up and get out of there.

I still had all sorts of things to do that day. To me, it seems like whenever you’re in a rush, everything sort of slows down and takes twice as long. I’m not sure why that is, but it always seems to be the case. Maybe it’s because you’re constantly thinking about the time, and as you know, when you watch the clock, every second seems like an eternity. Somebody who is in a hurry at the doctor’s office will definitely not be accommodated faster! Anyway, as I was sitting there waiting for my blood work to get done, I noticed that the air conditioner was running constantly without stopping at all. After a while, I just couldn’t take it anymore. I looked up and realized that I was directly below an air vent, so I decided to move seats to somewhere marginally warmer. The longer I sat there, the colder I got, and my finger started to get numb. I was almost ready to leave by the time they called my name. I’m not sure what the person in charge of setting the temperature on the thermostat was thinking of having it that cold in the waiting room. Maybe it was just to kill germs, but I was glad to be out of that place! The next time I visit the doctor’s office, I’ll definitely wear a couple extra layers.
