Raising frogs is rough

Raising frogs is rough

This past weekend, I put together a frog habitat for my son. My son has been asking for a pet frog for a very long time now. Me and my wife had always told him that a frog was a complicated pet that was going to require all sorts of special care to keep alive for any significant length of time. We had done our research and came to that conclusion about amphibian pets in general. Anyway, our son insisted that some frogs were not as difficult to take care of as other frogs. Unfortunately, he actually wanted one specific type of rainforest tree frog that was probably the most complicated to take care of of all! One day, me and my wife finally relented and we decided to go ahead and give him the frog that he wanted. The habitat ended up needing all sorts of special accommodations. The most notable accommodation had to do with climate control. The frog’s habitat needed to be on a very strict climate control schedule. We bought a device that connects to the frog’s tank that regulates the temperature in such a way as to keep the frog as healthy as can be! The tank also needed many things within the habitat, including heating rocks. All these things were geared towards regulating his temperature. I can’t believe we spent so much money on just a tiny frog! Well, at least my son is happy now. I hope that frog is just as comfortable as I am with my own climate control
