It was way too cold at the doctor the other day

The other day when I went to the doctor, the waiting area was freezing cold.

I had to go to the doctor to get some bloodwork done, and I was really in a hurry to get it finished and get out of there.

I had all kinds of things to get done that day. To me, it seems like whenever you are in a hurry to get finished with something, it always takes twice as long. I don’t know why that is. Maybe it’s just because you’re constantly thinking about getting on the road and finishing all of your other stuff or something. It’s almost like the whole thing about a watched pot never boiling. A person who is in a hurry can never finish early at the doctor’s office! Anyway, as I was sitting there in the waiting room waiting for my name to be called, I noticed that the air conditioning system was just running and running. It’s like it was stuck in the on position or something. I started to get cold and I ended up moving to a different seat in the waiting room so that I wouldn’t be right underneath the air conditioning vent that was in the ceiling. The longer I sat in there, though, the colder and colder I got. I thought that I was going to freeze to the seat before they finally called my name. I don’t know if it’s always that cold in the office or if they were turning the thermostat down to kill germs or what. I just know that I wasn’t sick when I went in there, but now I probably will be!
