I love a good mechanical problem

Whenever I feel I am up to the challenge, I choose to repair things around my house without calling a repairman.

I have had a proclivity for figuring out how mechanical things work ever since I was a kid.

I used to always take things apart just to see if I could put them back together again. I feel that it’s a great challenge for me, and who doesn’t love a good challenge every now and then. I apply this desire for problem solving to many different areas in my life. I also love getting challenged at work. I’ve been able to repair my own car several times over the past few years whenever it had some issues that needed fixing. Not so long ago, my refrigerator died on me and I was able to fix it myself instead of having to buy a new one. I thought that was the pinnacle of my talent, until recently, when my HVAC system broke down in the middle of the summer. The weather was just starting to get hot in the afternoons when I noticed that my air conditioner just didn’t seem to be working anymore. At first, I had no idea what to do. I’m certainly not a certified heating and cooling professional. However, I tried to diagnose the problem as best as I could. I ended up watching several different videos online that assisted me in repairing the problem and in the end my H5 is running good as new. It turns out I was able to solve this problem myself, but if it was any more complicated, I would have certainly needed to call an HVAC professional.
