The owner of the shop was on vacation when the fire occurred
It’s hard to imagine coming home from vacation to find out that everything that you own is gone.
I honestly don’t think I could handle something like that happening to me.
That is unfortunately something that happened to a resident in town. The owner of the house and repair shop was out of town on vacation with his family. The service and repair shop was shut down for a couple of days while the owner and his family enjoyed a vacation out of town. My business is across the street from the heat pump and air conditioner repair shop. I’ve known the owner for several years. We see each other from time to time and both of us are on the city council. When I found out about the fire, I immediately started calling everyone that I had listed in my phone. The heat pump and air conditioner repair shop was on fire and the blaze was twelve or fifteen feet high by the time I arrived on the scene. The fire department was trying to find out the name of the person that owns the property. I told the fire chief that the person who owned the property was on vacation with his family. The fire chief asked for the phone number or any other information that could be of any help. I gave the guy all of the information that I had, but I know it probably wasn’t as useful as it could have been. When they reached the owner, I was glad someone professional was there to break the news.
