The interview didn't go very well

I was looking for a new job in the heating and AC repair industry. My girlfriend and I recently moved to the area and I had a tough time finding a position. Thank goodness we moved because her job transferred us. I didn’t have to worry too much if it took a month or two to find employment. I had a couple of interviews as soon as I moved to the city, but none of the jobs panned out. I didn’t have another interview until last week. I was really nervous before the interview and it didn’t go very well. I met with the manager of the heating and AC repair company. He started asking me a bunch of questions about repairs and installation jobs. I wasn’t prepared for a test and I fumbled over my answers several times. I definitely didn’t sound like a professional and I didn’t look very good either. Imagine my surprise when the manager called me the next day for a second interview with the owner of the heating and AC repair company. This time I was prepared to answer any question. I was poised and confident. The owner of the repair company was actually much more easy going than the manager. He didn’t grill me or make me feel like I was on display. The interview seemed to go by very quickly and we talked for nearly an hour. At the end of the interview, I knew things had gone much better than the previous time. The owner offered me a job starting on the following Monday and I graciously accepted.
