HVAC technician out

I own an HVAC company, and I am down one of my technicians this week.

He is one day into the recovery of a shoulder dislocation from last night when he was doing some Heating, Ventilation plus A/C replacements. This is the third time it has happened over the past 3 years and he has become pretty good at putting the shoulder in place and resting it. I always thought you had to put it in as they did in the films where they smash it against a wall, however that is just a movie. My employee made it look easy and he simply grabbed his arm with his other hand over his head and used his head as leverage to pull the hurt arm up till his shoulder clicked into position. The air conditioning device was also the first culprit which caused it to dislocate, as he was holding it up to put into a client’s window when his shoulder knocked out of place. Luckily, another one of my technicians was there and he knew how to put it back in place for him. He has worked in the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C industry for a while, however was a paramedic before that, so this was not his first rodeo. I told the HVAC technician that was injured to just take some time off to relax his shoulder and let it heal. The last thing I want is for him to return to work before he is ready and experience an even worse injury. I think he will be back to working for my Heating, Ventilation plus A/C company in about a week, however I don’t want to rush it so if it takes longer that is just fine. I think the last time he did this it took him about 3 weeks to heal where he could work again without pain. I can’t blame the A/C device though, it was his own mistake.
