The news reporter looked shocked when they told her about the AC
Last night on the 6 News, there was almost a terrible tragic accident that occurred on the live news.
One of the reporters was doing a story about crime in the neighborhood. It was very loud outside due to the cameras, crowd, and time of day. It was difficult to hear most of the things that the reporter was saying. The cameraman panned out away from the reporter so they could show the entire building in one shot. About 2 or 3 seconds after the camera moved, a man on the 7th Floor started throwing things out the window. The first thing was a suitcase, but the next thing was an AC unit. The AC unit fell about 1 ft behind the head of the report. The cameraman almost dropped the camera, but the reporter didn’t seem to be visibly shaken or stunned at all. The cameraman was heard asking the reporter if she was okay and then we heard him explain that the AC unit had just fallen behind her. When the news reporter found out about the AC unit, she looked shocked. She looked like she was white as a ghost and she clearly knew that she had just missed a brush with death. The AC falling from the seventh floor would have easily killed someone if it had fallen on a person. The machine was about 50 lb and it was shaped like a giant brick. That was easily one of the craziest things that I have ever seen on television, especially live on the 6:00 news.
