I don’t always make the best decisions
I really don’t always make the best decisions, and that’s the truth.
If there’s one thing that I have learned over the past year, it’s that I should always call a professional whenever I want to get anything done around the house.
I am just not what you would call a handy type of person. I don’t really know how to fix a lot of things around the house. I can change a light bulb, and I can change the batteries in the thermostat unit, but that’s just about it. I guess no one ever really taught me anything about home repairs because my dad wasn’t a very handy guy when I was growing up, either. Lucky for us, he made enough money to hire people to come to the house to fix things for us. We were always having a repair guy of some sort or another at the house. I mainly remember the HVAC technicians who would come to the house because they were always running up and down the stairs to the furnace room down in the basement. We were always having trouble with the heating and air conditioning back when I was a kid so we always had HVAC technicians in and out of the house all the time. The last time my furnace tore up, I decided that I was going to break the cycle and fix it myself. I really wanted to fix it because unlike my dad, I don’t really have enough money to pay for repair guys to come to my house all the time! However, trying to fix the furnace myself wasn’t the best decision. I ended up messing it up even worse than it was to start with, and I had to call a professional HVAC technician anyway!
