Why we love our new heat pump so much
When you live in a region that sees the air conditioner on to 1 degree or another for 8 weeks of the year, it’s great that it’s great HVAC. When dealing with this sort of heat, a genuinely great heat pump is so important to a household. My folks absolutely used an evaporative cooler when they were growing up in this area. It was a bit of a help given there just wasn’t much widespread use of residential HVAC. Dad told me that during the peak heating minutes of the summertime, there was nothing to do but rest in the shade and hope for a breeze. This has a lot to do with why we invested in state of the art heating and cooling equipment. The new HVAC technology in the heat pumps is simply remarkable. The new HVAC models are so efficient that I can hardly believe the energy savings. Our aged HVAC component seemed to run a whole lot during the peak heating of the summertime. The new heat pump has a variable speed fan so it doesn’t have to run at the highest output all the time. And the SEER rating is 23 which is almost triple what the aged 1 was. SEER ratings are a representation of the efficiency of the heat pump. The genuinely first week, our utility bill was slashed almost 40 percent without even trying. That’s a far cry from the afternoons of dad’s swamp cooler, shade and the occasional breeze. The people I was with and I sure are lucky to be able to take advantage of such great, current HVAC technology these afternoons.
