Renting shouldn’t include awful HVAC

There are for sure some real upsides to renting 1’s home.

Just a call to the rental office leads to resolution of problems that a homeowner would have to see to and pay for themselves.

Plus, there is no mowing the yard and the pool is cleaned without our help. But, downsides exist as well went renting. I have lived in the same locale now for over 5 years and I have never seen any sort of preventive service. That seems odd for an investment prefer a dwelling. The largest part that exposes this failure is the awful condition of the HVAC. It would seem to myself and others to be in almost everyone’s best interest to have the HVAC tested at least once per year. I have had problems with the HVAC since I moved in. But, each time I call the rental office, they send the same guy who has severely limited know-how about HVAC. His HVAC “repair” is nothing more than an exercise in futility. Nothing gets honestly tested. So, the efficiency and capacity of the HVAC diminishes all the time. I have constantly been honestly careful to keep the HVAC air filter changed each month. In fact, I even cleaned the condenser unit, coils and grills because they were so filthy. I have even gone to the lengths of using our shop vac to remove the gunk in the evaporator line. The SMSs that I write to the property supervisor are respectful and sufficient. But, they are ignored. It’s a shame because I entirely prefer where I live.
