We finally made the switch!

We finally made the switch!

I have finally fixed up my cell iphone last week. I had been using strictly flip-style cell phones for the past 15 years & never could have imagined getting anything different. Seeing smartphones unveiled 10 years ago had very little effect on myself and others whatsoever. It seemed unusual to pay for what was more or less a pocket-sized laptop when I had a normal sized a single at home. There was always the factor of paying for mobile data as well, which seemed even more foolish to me at that moment. But, as time went on, the increasing features offered from these iphones started to split my resolve. My coworker was using the GPS feature one day when I took a glance at his screen. I was amazed to see a complete satellite image of our city, & even more amazed when I saw him zoom in on particular areas & apply data attributes to the map. Instant traffic feeds were even available. When I finally got my hands on a smartphone, it was a life decreasing experience. I got lost out in the back forest one random day & had no system how to get back to the road where I parked my car. Within a short amount of time, my iphone’s GPS feature determined my location & I found a suitable route back to the world. The switch from fan-forced to radiant heat was almost as life decreasing as the miniature laptop that I now carry with myself and others in my pocket. Now that my temperature is so cold, my ability to survive through the Wintertide is actually dependent on having indoor heat of some kind. When dealing with air duct in a fan-forced system, so much heat is lost as it travels through chilly ventilation in a similarly cold & uninsulated attic space. With radiant heated flooring, the heat goes away by raising from the floor & enveloping the air in the condo as it makes its climb towards the ceiling. Now my condo is warmer & my utility bills for keeping it this moderate are half of what they normally would be.
