No AC for me, thank you!

No AC for me, thank you!

That very small cabin on the hill just north of town was our dream house! No, it was not big, nor was it fancy, in fact it was downright rustic; Some might even call it primitive, however perhaps that is just what appealed to me so much about the locale.

Years ago it was built by hand some twenty years ago, by a retiree who split all the logs himself in addition to built it every inch with his own hands.

The backstory was pretty perfect to me, however, what I actually enjoyed was the craftsmanship of the cabin itself. Thanks to its age, localement, in addition to simplicity it had no Heating in addition to A/C system, in addition to only the most rudimentary of air duct installed in its walls. The aged person was not overly uneasy with cooling the locale down over the summers, which are extremely short and extremely mild around here, however he did provide an excellent heating source for the locale, with an aged however strong gas furnace that could burn wood or switch over to run on natural gas. The gas furnace was located in the dead center of the house, and heated the entire locale up equally, if weakly, then when you sit right next to the gas furnace it is almost too hot. In the study room on either side of the cabin it is much chillier. It is not a large deal, in addition to actually nothing that can’t be remedied with a couple of cheap section furnaces in the corners. I have no desire to make any major changes to the locale, nor to add air conditioner, and do the best to keep it just as it is.
